![]() ![]() After the kids have decided to play the pilolo game leader makes sure the kids hide by making sure they are either facing a wall or asks the time keeper to watch so they do not peek. As the game goes on there is a popular song which is sang “pilolo yaafo b3 mli” a Ghanaian song that literally means “pilolo nobody is expected to cry”. Some of the objects used in playing the pilolo game are small balls or sticks but most often sticks are used. The main aim for the pilolo game is to search for the objects which the leader has hidden and run to the finish line as fast as they can. ![]() This game can be played in uncompleted buildings, under trees and any convenient space where the objects for the game are hidden. After the time keeper and the leader is chosen the game then proceeds with understanding and all the rules for the game. ![]() In this game before the game starts a leader and a time keeper is taken before the game starts it is played normally around 3:00pm to 6:00 pm when the sun is down. The one I would like to talk about which I also used to play a lot when I close from school and come home is called “pilolo” in country meaning “time to search for”.Pilolo is a game which involves children who are interested and have decided to play the game. ![]() There are a lot of children’s folk games in Ghana. ![]()
